- Mutually Agreed Resignation Scheme (MARS): The national scheme was extended until 31st January resulted in just over 2,700 approvals. There are no immediate plans to launch a further MARS although Trusts that wish to adopt local schemes that mirror the national scheme will be considered and approved. .

- Retention and Exit Terms Reference (RETS) – formerly Pre-authorised MARS.

- ‘Assignment’ Policy – nationally there is some work being carried out on this policy with SHAs, DH and NHS Employers. This policy will deal with the process and arrangements for assigning SHA and PCT staff to emerging GP Commissioning Consortia (GPCC). This policy is likely to be published in the next few weeks.
