Retired Members
Since 1985 GMB Retired Members Association (RMA) has continued to grow. Retired members and their partners are urged to maintain an active interest in the activities of the RMA.
The RMA now has a brand new constitution with 4 key objectives:
The GMB RMA aims to provide practical assistance in the recruitment, retention and organisational objectives of the GMB wherever and when ever possible
- The GMB RMA aims to campaign on behalf of retired GMB members and thus bring bout dignity in retirement
- The GMB RMA will work in partnership with like-minded pensioner groups whenever it is appropriate
- The GMB RMA aims at all times to comply with the Equal Opportunity policies of the GMB
These aims and objectives are about furthering the interests of retired members and their partners, building and maintaining the goals of 65 000+ retired members and developing a seamless link with the working membership of the GMB.
Britain has a growing and influential pensioner movement, which is campaigning to have the freedom to live in dignity and not fear of need. The GMB RMA is part of a wider pensioner movement and the political campaigns at all levels of Government – Europe and the UK.
